Rhian Bland
Research Associate, Australia
Rhian joined Pacific Whale Foundation in 2023. As a Research Assistant, Rhian supports our long-term humpback whale and dolphin research in Australia by assisting with fieldwork and photo-ID processing. She has a M.S. degree in Conservation and Biodiversity from Lancaster University in the UK. For her master’s thesis, Rhian studied the variation in baleen whale exposure to marine traffic impacts off the Galician Coast, in collaboration with the Bottlenose Dolphin Research Institute, Spain.
